2006 Jayco Seneca Power Awning Question

We recently had a new power awning installed by the local dealer. It replaced the original main power awning on our 2006 Seneca. That awning failed due to a big rapid rain fall. My dumb fault.

The new awning fabric rests on the top of the slide when extended. The adjustments are set for max height.

There are two tracks on the side of the Seneca. The new awning is in the bottom track or groove.

I thought the bottom groove was for an optional slide topper and the top groove for the awning. Btw, the awning is a Carefree of Colorado.

Does anyone have a picture of which groove or track the Alumiguard of the power awning is attached in their Seneca? Top or bottom?

Does anyone have an issue like this? IE. The fabric of the awning rests on the top of the big slide?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Our 08 always touched the slide slightly if tilted.

Good to know. Thank you. The installing dealer has the Motor home today. I think their plan is to move the brackets up a bit. Hopefully, that'll work.

As it is now, the fabric will wear a hole in itself if there's any breeze at all. Plus the fabric will rub the paint off the slide top.

I'll post again when I see the results of today's effort.

Again thanks for your help.
