2007 Seneca fan clutch troubleshooting

I have a 2007 35GS that has been trouble free since new. I used to be able to hear the radiator fan cut-in. The change in noise was very noticeable. Lately I have noticed that I never hear the increase in noise and my engine temperature can climb to over 230 degrees. Has anyone replaced the fan with electric type or is it best to just stay with the OEM fan clutch. The motorhome has 48,000 miles.

I'd stay with the OEM, it may already be electronically controlled. Can't remember if it is or not.

I had the shop replace the fan clutch with a OEM part from Chevrolet and it was defective. The fan now comes on around 200 degrees and instantly the temperature drops to 192 degrees. The air temperature was about 98 degrees.

The electric fan clutch was in the 2008 and later Kodiaks. My 2007 35GS, C5500 did not have an electric fan clutch.

I have a 2007 Seneca and it has an electric controlled fan. I know because I had to change the fan blade due to micro cracking blades.

Just from general information gathering. I found out that the lmm duramax that was released mid year came with a number of cooling system upgrades to deal with the regen cycle for the particulate filter. I have the lmm version.
