I am considering buying a 2008 Seneca. Does anyone have a info specific to that year to look out for? Would appreciate any advice.

We had a 08 35 GS and the only thing that could be a problem is the radiator. GM had some bad crimps on the lower drivers side. Other than that I can say ours was flawless. We had over 52,000 miles on it when we traded it in 2014. Ran great and the coach itself gave us no problems.

I just purchased a 2008 Seneca 35GS (diesel) with 24,000 miles, and using the VIN contacted Jayco to verify three recalls that had been issued sometime around 2010 were completed.
One had been done- battery cable reroute
One had not- propane line rework
One didn't apply- replacement of transfer switch
I used the local Jayco dealer for the recall work needed.

No problems otherwise as of yet. I have replaced all fluids, repaired many small things either due to lack of repair by previous owners or factory laziness, and have been trying to bring it to a state better than it was delivered in 2008--such as replacing the factory KYB shocks with Koni, adding a Safe-T-Plus, and etc.
This is the newest RV we have had, but it will wear and depreciate at the same rate as the older units we sold.

You can use this forum, Go to Community on top of page, Go to Social Groups, Go to First Gen of Seneca owners, There you will find alot of info on those units. The basic frame, engine and coach are solid, better than alot of newer 5th wheels in construction quality. But its like owning another home. Always something to do.
