2010 Greyhawk 31FS - Floor Rot Issue

Hi,

I have a 2010 Greyhawk purchased about 1yr ago. I didn't notice when we purchased it but and it had a soft spot on the floor due to a water heater leak. I've fixed the water leak and now it's time to fix the floor. I've got the counter and water heater removed, as well as some of the floor. What I have noticed is that it seems that the wall behind the kitchen counter (between the kitchen and bathroom) is high by about 1/2" on the outside end (nearest outside wall). This is noticeable in the mismatch of the wallpaper, caulking around the counter and the ceiling. The other spot to see this is that the fasteners in the tub surround are all pulled.

I've attached a few photos, has anyone ever seen this? Is it possible that the floor swelling under the wall (and freezing in the winter) would have caused this to happen?

Could it be that the whole sidewall of the RV is sagging? I don't see any other signs of this?

Figured I'd ask this bunch before I continue to tear into the RV in search of the issues.

Thank you

This does not look good. It appears that the outside wall is sagging. Can you look at the points where the outer wall connects to the floor? Leaking water will corrode the attachment screws as well. if the wall is loose, it might be possible to jack it up, carefully, and reattach it to the floor structure after the floor itself is being repaired.

Scoutmaster,

Where do I find these screws? Are they under the horizontal molding on the outside?
Last night, I removed the upper cabinets and paneling behind the kitchen counter. The bottom of the wall was rotten as suspected.

The floor in the bathroom seems to be a little bit angled toward the outside wall, there are no immediate signs of it, but now I am wondering if the floor structure is bent somewhere. I had a quick look and nothing stood out, but I will look closer, there's is a lot in the way, holding tank, wheel well, etc...

I've also written to Jayco asking for some drawings of the construction of the unit, hoping that will help.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Yes the screws would be behind the external molding. Jayco should be able to give you some information about the structure, but it might not be as detailed as you would like.

You have a big job ahead of you, best of luck.
