While driving, my hubby and I heard a loud air release pressure sound and the Lp light and sound went off. We don't understand why. The generator shut off and ac. Can someone help? It has done it twice.

Can you describe how the LP alarm went off? Did it alarm for a while (many many seconds), or did it go off for a second or two and then quickly die down.

How did you recover from the first time it happened? What did you do and/or what systems did not work.

The first time we were driving and it sounded like a hose busted. Very loud noise and the LP alarm went off and we had to push the button to shout it off. The generator shut off along with the ac. We went outside and everything looked fine. We kept the generator off for a while and then restarted it.

The second time, same thing. We stopped, made sure nothing was in fire. Everything looked fine, we didn't turn on the generator for awhile then restarted it and it was fine.

My LP alarm has gone off (previous MH) while I was getting fuel ( gasoline).

The LP alarm will sometimes go off with low voltage. Since you mentioned your generator kicked off, could you please check your house battery compartment and your inverter/power system (typically under the bed in a Grayhawk) are ok. Look for foul smells or burnt wires.

This is the worst case scenario so lets get that out of the way immediately.

If it was a very hot day, I suspect that it could have been your pressure relief valve on your propane tank discharging. I had this same experience while driving through Death Valley last summer. Also, had air bubbling under the vinyl laminate floor due to the excessive heat!

On a hot, 117 deg, day had the propane pressure relief valve release some propane, the tank had just been filled. Maybe the propane gas got to the sensor?
I've also had my generator shut off when driving with it running, don't normally drive with it running anyhow so just let the issue go.
