Exclamation 2012 31FS Weight at Scale

Loaded up the wife, kids and myself and headed out loaded up. All the chat about weights had me wondering what we were actually going to weigh and how it was balanced. Having a CAT scale close by the house, we checked on the weight.

Note: Tip about carrying yard stick to CAT scale is a good one...

Front axle: 4800 lbs
Rear Axle: 9140 lbs
Combined: 13940 lbs

I probably had an additional 100 pounds of water I did not need to have on board and a few gallons in the Black Water tank. Grey water tank was empty.

However, I was 15 gallons light on being full of fuel when we weighed.
That's 120 pounds.

If I were to tow a toad, it would have to be one without much tongue weight.

How do your CAT scale weights compare to your "C's" weight limit specifications?

GCVW for the 31FS is 14,500 so we were under that. Front axle with driver/passenger was under front axle weight by 200. So on this trip we were good.

Unless you "dollie" tow there will be little to no additional weight added to the coach. Your Gross VEHICLE weight is 14,500, Gross COMBINED is 19,500.

I should have typed GVWR, Grumpy. GVWR is 14,500. I can see us getting close to this weight and pushing a little over if not careful in years to come. (The kids are bound to grow up and gain wieght. Thanks for the reply.
