2014 Jayco Seneca 37RB locked out

Hi All,
Has your 2012-2014 Jayco Seneca ever locked you out? We took our dogs right outside of our coach to use the restroom and closed the door behind us. Both set of keys was left in the coach because we were just outside of it. To lock the door you need to use the keys. However, after the bathroom break for the dogs, we could not open the door. The dam thing locked us out. Only by pulling really hard on the door (and breaking the locks inside) did we get back in. Has anyone else had this problem?

There is a lock recall floating around. Not sure which models are affected.

Does your unit have keyless entry? If so the door can lock if you press and hold the 1 button.

We just got our red hawk friday; saturday our door locked automatically when shut. luckily our cab doors were open; today we couldn't get it to repeat that, however happened several times yesterday. Annoying! also, we have speakers and aren't sure how we would even hook them up as no component was included; that's fine but when we do put our component in where do we hook these up? any clue? it's 2013 red hawk. thanks!

you should have an inside/outside switch by the door to select the inside outside speakers. There is nothing to hook up, just turn it on and switch to desired location. the front /rear inside speakers are programed thru the radio setup, read about it in the manual.

New to Jayco. Just bought a 2014 Seneca 37TS. Love it except for a weird and annoying noise coming from under the das/steering wheel. On level ground and no uphill pull sounds like gravel being dumped, higher speeds level ground sounds like 1000 crickets in cab. Anyone have any advice? Coach in shop now trying to find out what the noise is.

There is a technical service bulletin from Freightliner for a shift cable isolator kit to eliminate the noise. Pretty annoying sound.

Smile 2014 Seneca Noise

Thanks a bunch. Lets me know I didn't buy something that can't be fixed.

We have had issues with our lock on our 2014 Seneca too. We couldn't get it open from the outside with the key. Had to go through the cab to open the door. Another thing to add to our list of fixes.

Something to check on the door lock issue. We have noticed that if our levelers get a little out of calibration, they won't raise the coach correctly. The resulting twist in the motorhome will seize the door to the point that you cannot open it. Recalibrating the levelers solves it. Just a thought.
