2017 e450 service time

I was wandering what oil you guys are running in your e450's
I know there's probably a chart in the owners manual, I'm in Louisiana so it's never really below freezing. Brand and weight syn? syn blend, or petroleum. My first v10

Ford recommends 5W30 synthetic blend.

And that is what should be used because of the close bearing tolerances. There are numerous stories on many web sites regarding V-10 failures from using a heavier weight oil.

I found that the 5w30 Motor Craft semi-syn. is what's in it from Ford so I guess I'll just stick to that. Thanks Guys

Interesting to see 2015 and 2016 using 5/20 and 2017 and up use 5/30.

Mobil 1 full synth and Motorcraft filter. My Class C has enough room under it for my fat self to change the oil! Easy to do and saves money.

My 2016 uses 5W-30 per oil filler cap and owners manual.

Our 2016 uses 5W-30 as well
Also installed a Fumoto valve on oil pan. Reduces the possibility of spills when draining oil and saves the threads on the pan. Shoot it right into empty jugs.
Only messy thing is the filter

I’m not familiar w/ the V-10 filter, but have cut the top off of a 2 liter pop bottle & used that to go over the vertical filter when removing.

I use Ford Oil Purchased from a Dealer and do it myself to avoid any warranty hassles.
