2017 Greyhawk Roof Question
Looking at purchasing a unit (of course a couple hours away), but it has damage on the top back left corner. Owner says that it is not leaking, but is covered in duct tape. Not sure of the extent of the damage, only what is in this photo. Any idea on how this area is assembled, or the "worst case" for fixing what is seen here?

Worst case, you put new duck tape on every 6 months. Really, you could probably fix any fiberglass damage and eternabond or what else your favorite thing is and it will be good for a long time.

Have the current owner remove the duct tape for you to see the damage, and act accordingly. No one can tell you how to fix it without being able to see it.

I would be worried about any unseen damage. I would insist it be inspected by a repair shop and given estimates on the cost of repair, then deduct the cost from the sale price.
Personally I think I would just walk away from the sale.

Thank you for the advice. I'll see if I can get some pics of the "real" damage...

The damage would not scare me away! I would inquire about how and when the damage occurred. A duct tape repair is good enough to get me home, but needs a better repair quickly. Duct tape dry rots quickly, so it needs to be replaced often. So I would ask when was the last time the replaced the duct tape, and how often they have inspected it.
I would bring a flashlight, and an awl, maybe a cheap bore scope. I would look closely for water damage, and mold. Remember water tends to flow down hill, so there maybe hidden damage near the floor if it has been leaking for a while. Also water tends to cause delamination of the fiberglass, so knock on the wall and listen for sound changes, I would knock up and down both walls. So you might need an A-frame ladder.
As for repair, If the price is right, I would have no issues using some Eternabond, just do not stretch it.

I have repaired Grayhawk roof damage.
Using fiberglass repair kit and some expanding foam in empty area on edge
Put a little bondo on surface and sanded smooth.
Painted after done with auto spray paint from duplcolor.
I also cover all seams with eternabond I have used same process on Winne and Monaco
fiberglass roofs.

Whether it's a hole, or a crack, here's a method used by pro's to fix it. First buy a piece of identical material, with correct color, from a fiberglass distributor. Clean the area with a non petroleum solvent. Then fill the crack or area with fiberglass resin. Cut a patch of sufficient size, and use a heat gun to soften it and bend it to the correct radius for the damage. Then use Marine 5200 vulcanizing adhesive to apply the patch. It will bond to the roof as good as new and will be hardly noticeable.

I don't think it's going to be a big deal. Assuming I can buy the corner piece, and determine the correct adhesive / sealant to put it together?

If it's just that cap, it should be pretty easy. Find the replacement cap, pull the old off, clean it up really well, attach and seal the new.
Sealant will likely be OSI Quad Sealant, or Dicor non-leveling. I used OSI on my camper and so far it's holding very well.

Don’t even think about it. No way to be sure it’s not soaked and rotted inside. Run!
