2017 Seneca 37TS Antenna Booster
Tried to use cable for the tv today for the first time and I recall reading about you need to turn off the antenna booster. Thanks to Jayco fantastic owners manual, I dont know where the booster is or how to turn it off. Help

If you have the DVD in an open cabinet on the right wall over the bunk, then it is buried behind all the wiring next to the satellite antenna power switch inside the cabinet. I moved both to the open area near the TV power mount switch. This makes everything easier to access without climbing up into the bunk..

Just saying, I also have a 2017 and the way it's wired I have to go from the campground connection directly to the back of my tv. The diagram I got from customer service doesn't come close to what i see.

I tried to find the booster switch but it does not seem to exist, at least anywhere neat the TV.
Does anyone else have to do it like Whporwill does?

I run it in through the drivers door. I also installed quick disconnect so I don't have to screw on the cable end.

That is a sad situation. I will be contacting Jayco next week to hopefully find a better solution.
Would like to hear from any other 2017 Seneca owners about this problem.

Digital
We can’t use most campground cable because the Seiki TV doesn’t have a digital tuner unless we use a cable box - my first experience with this a campground handyman brought his personal cable box and hooked it up and showed me that it was my tv and not the campground cable - because I couldn’t FATHOM that Jayco could find 10+ year old technology and install it in their “ top of the line “ 2016 RV Les

The antenna booster in in the right rear of the DVD compartment below the TV. You must climb on the bed to reach it bless you are 8 feet tall.
You must turn the. Booster off for the cable to work. On mine, the cable was too short to reach the TV and I had to take the screws out of the booster and move it away from the wall to reach and connect. That compartment is in the top three for the worst workmanship on my Seneca. And you must do a channel search each time you reconnect.
Just yesterday I rerouted some wires and moved the booster switch to where I can reach it from the floor. I’ll try to post a photo tomorrow.

2017 Seneca 37TS Antenna Booster
On our HJ, the booster switch is easy to access in the electronics cabinet above the TV/fireplace. With WiFi and 4G virtually everywhere, and since we slide out in places that don’t have cable hookups to begin with, we never have any need for that relic coax input.

Mine works without the digital tuner. Did you turn off your antenna booster and do a channel search?

Hey Marc, I did turn off the booster and then did a cable search and all is get is a couple of channels with extreme interference.
I hook the cable from the CG pedestal to the male connection mark cable in the water/sewer compartment.
Sure wish I could figure it out.
What brand TV do you have?

Check all your cable connections. I had a bad connection in the tv compartment because the cable was too short. Try hooking the cable from the pedastal directly to the tv. At least you can then isolate where the problem is.

I don't have a long enough cable to go directly to a tv. As a simple check of the connections, If I take a piece of Aluminum foil to essentially short out the cable end (wire to sheath) where it would connect to the pedastal then check for continuity at each end of the cable (wire to sheath) where it would connect to a tv this would show me a bad connection would it not??
