have seen past posts reguarding loud air compressors how do I go back and find info , time to get ours fixed

My understanding was that this sound was due to the lack of an air dryer. On your 18.5, you should have an air dryer.

I also remember members installing a check valve into the wet tank that reduced the noise.

I had a check valve installed, under warranty, and it made a good bit of difference.
