2018 Greyhawk 31fs V-10

Somebody without my permission Borrowed my Catalyic Convertor. Can I replace it with a straight pipe since my engine does not have an O2 sensor after after the Convertor. Other than being louder, will it effect my V-10 engine ?

All replacement suggestions will be appreciated.

Actually, you should have an O2 sensor after the converter. If you fire up your rig, you should be getting a MIL currently. Pull the code and it'll be O2 sensor.

Mine was stolen not long ago, and the shop that replaced it put the new cat in backwards, so the O2 sensor is upstream from the catalyst ("universal" cat, not Ford OEM).

ETA: The code I'm getting now is "bad catalyst" because of the placement of the O2 sensor in the line.

I guess I should be thankful they didn't cut the OEM harness when they took the cat? Anyway, it's on my to do list to fix...
