2018 Greyhawk mirror camera moisture

My 2018 mirror cameras have moisture in the camera lens, or at least inside the exterior lens causing the side cameras to be useless in many scenarios (can't see anything). I've found that I use the mirrors instead of the camera anyway (even when they are clear), so its not that big of a deal. Curious if anyone else has had issues with dew/moisture buildup inside the camera housing or if its just mine. Both mirror cameras have the same issue, appears to be dew vs a leak.

I have a 2014 and it has had moisture in the side view cameras since new. I didn't even bother bringing it back under warranty since I find them completely useless. By the time the camera shows up on the screen I already made my turn.

We have a 2016 Greyhawk 31FK and noticed the moisture in the side view camera lenses recently. I am in the same boat as Greyhawk01, I could care less about the moisture because the cameras are useless (they amount to no more than a selling point novelty item in my opinion). I turned them off the day we brought it home. The side mirrors give a much better range of view.

Greyhawk01, I did it thru the radio screen where the camera image pops up when you use your ten signal. I am picking ours up tomorrow from service, so when I get it home, I’ll try to post something on the exact procedure (I set ours up to permanently display the rear view camera when in drive so I can can keep an eye on either our trailer or hitch storage box).

For the Jensen its in the settings screen. You can disable the side cameras. I did.

My 2019 has this issue. Like you guys, I find the camera useless anyway. I wonder if I can turn the camera off in the Soundstream head unit.

Same issue with my 2018 Greyhawk 31DS, mostly on the passenger side for some reason.

Just a ditto: no moisture but now I wouldn't know. Turned them off after a few months.

I turned mine off too. I keep the rear displayed all the time. Good to keep an eye on the toad, especially when making turns.

No problem with moisture in the cameras (2015 MV) but like most everybody else I find them useless because the screen is too far from my line of sight.

Mini4mw we also have a 2018 which has a different head unit than prior years and you will not be able to turn off the sideview cameras. Others and I have tried because of the problem of when turning the camera switches form rear to side but will not go back to rear automatically which is a real pain. No solution has been found. Garmin is said to be working on a solution.

The 2019's Jayco has replaced the head units and no longer uses the Garmin because of all the user complaints and problems. I plan to replace mine at some point.

Like others I don't use the worthless sideview cameras. Mirrors for me.
