Motorcraft oil is made my Phillips?.
You all know that Motorcraft does not make oil but only brands oil. Last I heard ConocoPhillips was the manufacturer, e.g. Same as Kendall, which are both very fine oils, btw.

Just making sure I have the right parts. It’s 3 items correct? The valve , the hose and the clip for the valve?
Thanks

I drove close to 20,000 miles in 2018 with 3 oil changes. I have a Melbourne 24k with the diesel engine. The first time I took it into Mercedes they told me 10,000 miles would be ok, they use the Mobil 1 full synthetic and claim it doesn't break down like regular motor oil. As you can see I still try and change it a bit more often than what they told me, I would rather spend a few bucks and be safe.

X2 Engine Oil, filters and antifreeze are the life bloods of any engine. Neglect one and it's big $'s
In full agreement with you jwheibe! After early in life of putting in over 3 million miles in Semi Trucks, then later depending on my patrol car to run 80-100 mph or idling for possibly a hour at a time working accidents I learned diligent P.M.

We picked up our 2017 Greyhawk just before Christmas. As soon as we had about 3000 miles, I went ahead and changed the oil with Mobil 1 and a Ford filter and even a new drain plug. We are around 6500 now and have two more trips planned for this month so will likely change again once we get to 7500 or so.
It was pretty easy, with the leveling jacks raising the engine up so I could slide under. Just have to remember the oil shoots out at quite a nice angle when removing the plug! Made the mistake of placing the drain pan under it instead of off to the side.

Thanks i plan on doing the 1st oil change this weekend. Figured it was best to not let the original oil sit until the spring even though it only has 1600 on the odometer.

I just changed the oil and put on the Fumoto. The F106S is the right one. One thing to mention, the F106S came with the LC-10 clip, don't need to buy it separate. It's convenient that it takes 6q, just dump in 1 big container and 1 small container of 5w-30 semi-synthetic motorcraft oil from walmart and I'm done. Saved the containers to put the old oil back in on the next change.
I have a 2018 E-450 6.8L V10 under a 2019 Entegra Esteem 31L.

Studiovette, the game changer for oil change intervals is synthetics oils.
They tolerate high temperatures and don’t turn acidic with time.
My 2017 Greyhawk with the F450 will get 5K
Oil changes as a compromise between the traditional 3K and 7.5K reccomended.
Cheap insurance.

When changing my oil for the first time, I remembered reading about the angle of the flow, so I caught that. Had to change it in the street as the driveway is too steep, so I had a tarp underneath the pan. Glad I did, as whn I finally got the filter loose and let it drop to the pan, it bounced out onto the tarp. Live and learn .

I ended up doing the oil change and it took about 30 mins. I had ordered The fumoto valve and installed that when I was done. Looking forward to doing my next change and seeing how much easier and cleaner it will be with the valve and tubing going right into my oil recycling container.

What size "Fumoto" valve? Where did you purchase it? I also want to do this, but have no idea what I need to purchase.

Never did see an answer to the question about which Fumoto for the Onan 4000. I might have missed something. It is probably the same valve. Thanks for any confirmation.

These two items are what you need for your 4000 generator. You can get them from Amazon, or directly from Fumoto. F-109 LC10 (drain valve w/safety clip) and ADP-109 (Adapter Extension). The thread is 12mm x 1.5 pitch. Easy install and works very well.
