2019 Greyhawk 26y motorized awning

I own a 2019 greyhawk 26y and iowa decided to tear the entire assembly off my rv. It was a Carefree kit and when looking for a replacement I can't figure out which model was the OEM. Does someone know? Or, if there is a better brand to replace this with I'd like to know that as well.

The wife and I sold the house and live in the RV, so want a reputable awning company that will last us a while as we wander the U.S.

I recently had to replace mine on a 2013 Greyhawk. I called called Carefree and they had me send them a few pictures. They accurately identified mine and I ordered the replacement. My son in law and I took off the old one and installed the new one in an afternoon. I realize its only a sample size of 1, but they were great to work with.

I too sent an email to Colorado Carefree support. And they too requested a photo. Then they ID'd mine quickly.

Do you still have the remnants? There may be a tag on the fabric.

I do not. It is in a dumpster somewhere in Iowa where the tornado tore it off my RV.

Yeah, that's the issue. I don't have the awning. But I searched the awning and arms, up and down, looking for a serial or part number and there wasn't one.

Any chance you have a random picture of the camper that might show the awning. Maybe the fam posing in front of it at Yellowstone etc? Something you can blow up and see some detail on the arms? Other suggestion is maybe contact Jayco with your VIN any maybe they have a Bill of Materials that would show what model it was shipped with?

Like the other poster said, I'd email ANY photo of that side of the rig to Colorado Carefree.

Other brands - yeah, apparently a handful. I think I've seen three. Are they better? No idea.

Colorado Carefree is certainly popular.

26Y awning

I have 2018/2019 26Y and the wind caught one arm in Vermont while I had it out I was able to retract it thankfully and did not use it until I got it repaired. It needed a new motor and the arm. Unfortunately I do not know what brand it is. I hardly use the awning any more and only when it is dead still. Not sure if yours was out when the tornado hit or retracted. The older manual awnings were far more sturdy IMO.
