when i open entrance door, screen door doesn't open with it. have to manually release screen door latch. is this normal?

Different year and they always change, but mine goes with the door unless I unlatch it from the door.

So they are always together unless I unlatch from door and close screen. If I close screen and then close door they become latched together again.

Mine works exactly like mini4mw works, and in fact I seem to remember that all my previous RV screen doors worked like that (screen door latches to the main door when they are both closed). However, I have broken that latch before (not me really, my daughter did it), I wonder if yours anf76 has a broken off latch handle now or possibly out of adjustment. If you can take a picture perhaps one of us can provide more details as to if it is broken or not. ~CA
