2024 jayco 27u

Has anyone cut the side of the mattress to make a little room on the side so making the bed you could get your hands down on the side. We just got a 2024 jayco 27u. Only need an inch or so off on the inboard end. It's easy to get the foam out of the cover. THANKS

That is my plan also on my 2022 27U. But if your mattress is like our factory one, they are no fun trying climb out of in the morning. I plan on having one made with the sides 2 inches shorter to solve that tight edge problem.

I am going to order a foam cutter from amazon to trim top part. The video looks very easy to use. Going to try on the mattress that came with RV first. it's the same one that we have in RV now. The mattress that came with new RV still had plastic on it for over a year, it had mold on it. Camping world sent us a new one. accruing to camping world the plastic was supposed to have been took off when it arrives.
