22J Sewer Outlet Low

We have a 2018 22J. The sewer outlet is only 10" above ground. As you can imagine, this does not work well with many campsite connections.

I don't see a way to replumb this to be higher.

My Greyhawk is the same way! Aggravating to hook to put works fine!

I'm not sure about yours but there was enough give in mine that I was able to lift it an inch or two and restrap it.


I also made a little skid-plate for the lowest part and attached that. That's saved me a couple of times.

Thanks for the suggestion. The tanks/connection don't seem to have much "give".

Did you use a jack to raise the tanks?

we have a 2019 22j same issue. not much you can do about it. we made numerous suspension changes steering stabilizer and rear shocks. much better ride but not perfect. suspension changes were from RoadMaster.

I imagine he's referring to the drain lines. By "give", I'm assuming he means the amount he can raise the line and still maintain fall of 1/8" inch per foot of run. Raise the tank(s) to increase the height for the outlet and then you create a potential issue with fall from your fixture drains to the tank.

The easiest fix, I think, would be to install a macerator pump.

I'm trying to avoid taking "one more thing" along, but that might be the easiest solution: macerator, hose for macerator, cord to connect...
