29MV Storage key replacements

Hello All,
We have a 2017 29MV and they gave us multiple keys for storage compartments. I would like to get copy of these 2 keys to keep as spare in RV. Has anyone gone to a local key shop or is this a special item from jayco ? Thank you for advise..

If your storage compartments use the standard 'CH751' key, they should be easy to find. Check with a key shop, your dealer, or any RV dealer, and they may have a handful available. I've got a few I've collected over the years.

A local bike and key shop carried the blanks here. However, this particular shop is anal about getting and keeping every blank it has ever made a key from so it's probably an exception.

Keys

Read the number on the key and look it up on e-bay. The number will give you the correct key already cut. This is what I did when I couldn't find the key blanks anywhere, the keys come already cut and work fine.

We actually changed the locks out for extra protection at minimal cost on the smaller luggage doors. New barrel locks are actually better quality than originals and took about an hour to replace all. We bought ours on www.rvlocksandmore.com and found cam locks keyed to match the key from the large compartment doors... so all outside compartment doors are keyed the same! At $6.49 they too were a bargain.

If the key is a ch751 just go over to the next camper and ask him to unlock your storage compartments... almost every RV has some ch751 locks.

I found out that the ch751 keys are universal and do work in every RV storage unit if they have the same lock type. If I change my storage locks to the barrel key, will that also be universal to everyone who has the same lock type too?

Locks

Go to CH751.com and they will make your lock and keys different from others.
