29mv vs 29me outside storage space

We are planning for our first RV purchase. It is me, my husband, my two boys and our dog. We are thinking about the 29me or 29mv.

Have concerns that the 29me doesn't have enough kitchen storage, also that it doesn't have the rear ladder and that the rear slide would make it difficult to carry bikes on the hitch.

For the 29mv I have concerns that the external storage isn't big enough to carry some longer items. Does anyone know the dimensions of the external storage on the 29mv?

Thanks!

I have a 2018 29mv. I'll measure tomorrow. What are you wanting to carry?

For comparison...

I have a 2015 29ME... for comparison here is what I have currently in my rear storage....

- 1 large bin holding my Weber Q and campfire Tri-pod
- Weber Q stand and 10lb propane tank
- Outdoor carpet
- Outdoor screen room
- 14ft ladder
- 4 large camp chairs and a foot stool
- 3 15" x 24" x 8" bins - water, sewer and outdoor toys
- shovel
- scrub brush
- two small folding tables
- folding step stool
- Blue Jays flag
- windshield cover
- folding beach sunshade
- folding wagon
- towel rack

The lack of a ladder was a concern to us as well but that back storage is easily large enough to house a decent folding/collapsing ladder. I love the three doors which allows me to access all of the things I have loaded back there without having to remove all of the contents. I did have to move some tools and my extra electrical cords out of there just to redistribute some weight forward as it was getting heavy back there.

Check the cargo capacity on both models you're looking at.

Glad to read your post of storing a propane tank in your storage area, I was trying to see posts about this since I was thinking of storing a 20# tank in my rear storage of a jayco class c.

I carry a small "pancake" type propane tank in my rear storage too.

My largest compartment is the rear passenger (or curb) side storage. I'm not fitting fishing poles in there or anything, but it's long enough for my needs. Fits my camp chairs perfectly (Alps "Gorilla" chairs).

I couldn't carry a ladder, or fishing poles, or even an EZ-Up (I don't think it'll fit anyway). But I don't carry those things in there anyway. That's what the toad is for.
