3 burner stove / safety

We're still breaking in the three burner stove in our kitchen. However I'm looking for a metal lip that you could insert across the front to ensure the pans don't slide off the surface. Has anyone seen those on any vendor site?

Also, every time we use the stove despite turning on the exhsust vet we set off the smoke alarm. Windows are open -- I'm thinking it's something with the built-in exhaust in the microwave which is directly in front of it.

Anyone else having these experiences?

Check to make sure the exhaust vent is not snapped shut on the outside. If closed from the outside, your fan wont do much.

If your band new propane stove is producing a smoky flame DISCONTINE USE AT ONCE!

Propane should burn clean. A blue flame with occasional yellow tips.

Either the mixture sleeves are set wrong, the regulator is malfunctioning or you don't have enough fresh air in your camper.

GET IT FIXED NOW!

Properly operating propane appliances don't need to be broken in. A few seconds is all it takes for the oils and cleaners from the manufacturing process to burn off.

Yes, either your vent fan flap is in the "travel" position or something is not right with the appliance.
