37FS Onan 8000 Coolant Cap

Have you ever noticed something missing, know something was there, but then had to guess what it was? We're on an extended road trip, around 5k miles and just doing the morning fluid check and general look around. Found the cap missing behind the dipstick/oil fill cap on the Onan 8000 Generator. What's missing, what's it for?. Looking back in along the top left side of the generator and saw the open fill tube.and knew there was a cap there, once. Stuck a rag in it to keep dirt out until I got it fixed.

While in Cheyenne for a couple of days found an Onan repair shop on the Internet. Grabers Diesel Repair, was an authorized Onan parts and repair shop.
Google maps got me there and the guys knew exactly what was missing, the coolant reservoir cap, grey in color. Got a replacement for less than $10. Great people!

Drilled a hole in the twist handle portion of the cap and used a small shock cord to attach to bolt. If it falls out again, at least I won't loos it. MAYBE
