Accessing Generator

I have a 2021 Jayco Redhawk 22C SE. I tried to check the oil level in the generator, but the generator door will not open as it hits the enclosure for the storage area. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? Thanks!

Need a picture.

I have the corresponding model but regular, and not SE version, a 22J. From what I've seen in pictures, there is no difference between a 22C and 22J WRT the generator placement or the hatch covering.

On mine, it's easy to open the door that covers the entire generator, and then remove the actual generator cover and check the oil.

Thanks very much for the help. I thought the door on the generator was hinged at the top and was trying to lift it like the door on the RV. Once I read your post and saw the pics I realized what I was doing wrong. Much appreciated.
