Moveable Vehicle.....

In all seriousness, probably nothing. When you take the factory tour they say many of their model designations, both letter and number, are random.

Sometimes there is some meaning behind the letters. I'm told my 31FK, the FK is Front Kitchen. There was a 29ME that was sold the same time as the MV.

Randomly chosen makes sense. I've seen some TT's that used letters like BH for bunkhouse, but it doesn't look like it carried over for the Class C units. Heck, Greyhawks come in two sizes, the 27U is 29' 11" long, and 29MV, 30X, 30Z, and 31F are all 32' 6" long. So even for the same length, they use 29, 30 and 31 in the model number.

It's hit and miss across many units. The PINNACLE had/has the 38FLSA, 38FLFS, 38FLWS and 38FLGS, all are Front Living Room which correlates, but the other letters don't. Also for 2014 to 2020 they were 40'+ long and now the 2021 & 2022 38FLGS is 44' long. Keep the consumer confused..

Originally it was the 29T but later redesignated the 29MV as a tribute to Mark Valentine, a long time designer for the original Jayco family. He said right before he died that was the floorplan he was the proudest to have designed. The company even reproduced the design as a custom coffin for him to be buried in.

Or maybe I heard the story wrong. ;-)

I don't care what mv means, but I'm definitely worried about why it isn't capitalized.

Since this is not the most serious thread, I've encountered, let me point out that MV is an abbreviation, not an acronym. Acronyms are pronounceable as in NASA. The rest like FBI are just abbreviations. I think Talking Heads on television use the word acronym incorrectly not because they don't know the better, but because it sounds so much more sophisticated than abbreviation.
