Add a 2nd AC unit

We are looking at adding a second unit to our 2018 Greyhawk Prestige 29MVP. According to Jayco the unit is wired for a second AC and there is a breaker for it in the panel. I have not contacted anyone about purchase and installation cost. We currently have a 30 amp connection. Will the 2nd AC jump us to a 50 amp hookup? I am not concerned about connecting any of the ductwork as we just want it to cool the bedroom.

No it's designed for the POWER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM and some have said it's already in the MH. You still use 30amp.

If you have one of these in your motorhome then you can have a second a/c added on your 30 amp service. I doubt you can because your front a/c is probably a 13.5 heat pump.

The factory 2 a/c’s In factory setup comes with two 11k units which are cool only no heat.

lbyeary,

This topic has been reviewed numerous times on the JOF, especially during the heat of the summer. Use the search function and I'm sure you'll find answers to the majority of your questions in prior threads.
