All water is hot

After filling our tanks all of the water in the RV is hot water. How do you fix that?

Maybe your bypass to the water heater is slightly open causing hot water to feed into the cold side

Many water htrs. have a check valve in the cold water supply side, if it's stuck open the water htr. could be mixing heated water with the cold water supply, especially if you're off city supply (pressure) and using from your holding tank.

Are you using the pump? Is this a new rig or has it worked properly in the past?

Check to make sure the outside shower faucet valves are off.

Also as previously mentioned assure that all the bypass valves for the wh are in the un-bypassed position.

I know that even with full tanks, a few hours of driving on a hot day in summer will cause the heat from the engine and road to warm the water in the holding tank. If you let it set overnight it will return to ambient temperature.

If you are getting hot water right after you fill the holding tank, then it's perhaps one of the other suggestions.

This was my thought - in the summer, driving down a hot, black asphalt road, the water in our holding tank got >> hot << as in very, very hot.

Check to make sure both valves on your outside shower are closed. Water will mix there as well.
Fooled me once.

If I was an RV tech and assigned to determine the cause here, I would first measure the temperatures with a probe pen style thermometer (used for cooking and A/C's, etc).

Without some numbers then all there can be is guesses. So, if for example the water in the holding tank (and therefore the cold water faucets) is similar to the ambient air temperature, then that wouldn't be a surprise and should be expected. If it is hotter even after running a few minutes, then I would be checking the mixing valve and bypass valves. ~CA
