Yikes, we have not experienced anything like that on that seam. Looks like you may have a considerable amount of movement in that area to cause the screws to back out.

On ours we had about a 1/2" of settling on the top of the seam near the roof. The seam cover sort of slid down. Our dealer applied sealer, so it has not moved.

I had about three or four screws back out in that area, enough that it was causing some "bulging" but not torn away like that. They fixed it at the factory service center when I was there for that concern as well as other warranty work.

I would sure try to get Jayco to take care of this since it had previously occurred and was supposedly "repaired". I can't think of anything you could "do" that should cause that, seems obvious it is some sort of manufacturing problem.

Would very much like to hear how they deal with your inquiry.

We had that on our 2015 that we bought last year, which we didn't notice until after we drove it home... luckily we bought an after market warranty, and they fixed it under that, no charge. The shop said they had to "reattach the cap" on that side. So far, their job is holding, but I do keep a close eye on it.

Yep, had the bulge on the left side and the cab pulling away from the body on the right side. Also had leaks in the same area which Jayco said was due to a faulty A/C install. Sent to factory for fix as dealer would not touch that area because it required too much removal of stuff.

The cab/body joint is the Achilles heel of class C's.

This was a “factory” fix! Driver side wasn’t bulging till they “fixed” it. Factory is a joke! Every one of the 15 items on my list was back like it was when we got out of Indiana!

I had this happen to the same seam at the top of the cap. Our local shop used larger screws and new sealant as I wasn't comfortable with doing the work myself.

Emailed factory about reoccurrence of screws backing out. He apologized and asked when we will be back in Middlebury and they will take care of it! We’ll, I’m in south Louisiana and heading to Texas for grand baby at the end of the month. Not planning on Middlebury trip just to fix this again! Waiting on return email. I’ll keep y’all posted!

Glad they appear willing to accept responsibility. Hopefully you can work out something to get it repaired in a manner convenient for you. Good luck!

Buddy, check your lemon laws. In Texas Lemon laws cover RVs. After a number of tries at fixing and you can file. Atty's do not collect fees from you so there is no risk if they pursue.

Got a quote for a business that does work for Dixie RV and other dealers in the area. Brought it today and he said he would be through in a couple days. Sent the estimate to Jayco and they said if I was satisfied with the work to photocopy a paid receipt and they would mail mail me a check. Funny how things change. I was ready to bash Jayco last week. This week I’m all smiles! For now! [emoji38]
