Apple Car Play

We have a 2022 Greyhawk 29MV our radio is a Sony XAV-AX8000 that has been updated. It is hit or miss if we can get our Apple Car Play to function… we have iPhone 15…. Does anyone else have this problem or know a reason why this does not always work… thanks

It could be the cable to the Apple phone not being a data cable. The Mrs. has to plug and unplug sometimes for it to finally pop up on the screen. Have you updated your Sony lately? Another thing, make sure you are plugging into the data usb and the not the charging usb.

2024 Greyhawk 30z - we have had the same issue and bought several cables before we realized that a simple reboot fixed the problem! Hold down the left side button until the Sony screen appears and the unit will reboot! We have had to do this about 3-4 times in the last year. Can't explain why but it works! Good Luck!

Check to see if you are on version 2 of the firmware.

Thank you Geeky Guy! I looked at my version and it was 1.14. I have it now updated to 2.0! I hope the rebooting days are behind me!

Thank you again!

Rob
