auto hauler trailer

So we will be picking up 2020 37K in a few weeks. What trailer brands do you all use to haul your vehicles with? We will likely use either a 2011 VW Tiguan or a 2019 Chevy Traverse, both AWD. Thinking I would like to have at least the 18 to 20 ft length. Thoughts? Thanks as usual for all the great sharing here!

Alums trailer makes a good trailer. Make sure they have actual tie downs on the trailer. I have a 18’ steel car hauler and have put a full size single cab, long bed pick up on it. If I ever buy another trailer it will be 20’ minimum. Another consideration is the angle of the ramps and the approach angle of your cars. Make sure you can actually easily drive your cars on the trailer...

Since you will be towing with your Seneca, you really don't have any reasonable size limits to worry about. Think about what you might want to take with you someday in the future and get the trailer you want now, instead of constantly having to trade up to a next larger size.

Steel vs Aluminum? Size of Axles? Total GWR are as important as overall length.

Nobody sold a trailer that fit all of our needs, so we built it ourselves. We compromised on the height of the deck for loading, but they make dove-tail trailers that help with the low vehicles.

We wanted to be able to haul our Toyota FJ, Yamaha 450 4-wheeler, large tool box, Two canoes and 70-gallons of extra water. It does that and allows us to run at the full speed limit on the Interstates. We take off for 3-8 months at a stretch, so we take our toys with us.
