Auto leveler maintenance

Hi All!

We have a fairly new 29MVP. Love the auto levelers! (& the RV!)
We have been wondering what kind of maintenance they require!
Thanks as always!

You should only need to check the fluid levels and periodically spray the shafts with WD-40.

Thanks so much!

I know most of you self level. We have always just used the auto levelers and so far frig has been great and it feels level to us but I do wonder if they ever need to be recalibrated (or whatever you might call that!)?

I have had to recheck level every once in awhile. When finished auto leveling , one leg is about 6 inches off the ground. It seems there is enough resistance it thinks its down. Probably in 5 years has happened 3 times. This causes me to always look that they are all 4 on the ground. Seems to happen when we are on extreme level surface and they are really not needed to level, but needed for suspension support when walking around. Just manually adjust or totally relevel and everything returns to normal.

Question - have never checked the fluid level. On a 2015 Seneca 37FS, where is the reservoir?

As always, thanks in advance for posting and causing my brain cells to activate on this subject. This site is worth its weight in gold.

2018.5 Seneca 37HJ. May not be of any help but our reservoir is located about halfway back between the driver’s side frame rail. Came full qt. low from the factory. Worth checking!

This is what a Jayco manager/engineer told me while at their plant. The leveling system fuse/plug should be removed for about 30 minutes twice a year so the system will re-calibrate. He also advised that if the system is left down for more than a few days you should spray each cylinder shaft with silicone spray before letting it back up. And I would add it doesn't hurt to check the hydraulic fluid level.

Someone recommended putting som cat anti friction fluid in the resivour to aid in the movement..... And spraying each leg with either teflon or other wd40 or another anti corrosion preventative
