Auto transfer from shore power

When I bought my 2015 Melbourne 29D, I remember someone telling me that if I lost shore power that something else would kick on so that my dog would have AC.. Is this true and how does that work?

If your coach is equipped with Auto Start for the generator and you program it based on thermostat temp it will. Otherwise nope.

Ok thanks. How do I know if I have a programable auto start generator? If I don't.. any other after market remedy?
