Auxiliary Start Solinoid

I'm stumped, hopefully someone here can help. My auxiliary start solenoid and the wires attached to it are getting hot when trying to start the coach. First time it happened it melted some of the wire close to where it's attached to the solenoid. The button is not pressed in. With everything connected, the engine does not start, and the solenoid makes a strange sound and the wires get very hot. With everything disconnected from the solenoid, it starts fine.

I replaced the solenoid, and it's doing the same thing.

Anyone else ever have something like this happen?

Thanks.

.

Sounds to me like your house battery is badly discharged or the house wiring is shorted, and a lot of power is being drawn from the chassis battery.

Thanks. That was thought as well. Just had the battery tested. Good battery and 75% charge.
