Bad DVD reception to TV's

Hello. I'm new to the forum and am needing some help. I recently played a DVD in my Jensen JRV9000. The indash screen on the radio is OK, but now it comes out blurry on both TV's. I have tried several DVD's and all have the same results. I've checked to make sure all connections to TV's are good. Any ideas on the cause and how to fix? Thank you.

If the radio connection is like the one in my 2017 Greyhawk it will use the old style RCA connections which is very low res compared to today standards. It has only 480 lines of resolution.

If you want a dvd to play at 1080i or 1080p, which is high def, you need to feed the TV a signal through a HDMI cable. Not possible with an in-dash setup (maybe there is a model out there). I don't use the in-dash for any dvd but rather bought a small Sony blue ray player and connect it directly to the TV via HDMI. The player is small enough to sit below the TV.

No more lousy picture.

Thanks for the reply and I might have to do that, but it has been working fine and now it’s blurry, like the picture is stretched out. Just hoping there might be a fix.

There may be a setting in the TV to not have it stretched out. It's called aspect ratio or something like that.

Thanks for replying. There is an aspect button on the remote that changes the screen size to normal, zoom, wide, and cinema, but that wasn’t the problem. Antenna and cable tv are ok but DVD video is stretched out and blurry. It’s been ok for 3 years until now. Manual didn’t help at all.
