Battery charger

Is there a way to shut off charger to the house batteries or is it on all the time?

Thanks.

Most Jayco motorhomes have a 12 volt shut off switch just inside the coach door. Or there may be a circuit breaker in the main 120 volt panel for the converter/charger than can be turned off.

The converter has a "smart charger" so it doesn't hurt anything when it's on shore power.

If the engine isn't running and it's not plugged in to shore power, there is no charging. The 12V power switch inside the MH will not shut off charging.

There should be a breaker in your power center that will disable the converter.
