Battery disconnect

I thought about installing a battery disconnect. and using a float charger to keep my new batteries 100 % I think my house charger over charges my batteries. Or I could just unhook the ground cable. Anyone have a disconnect? Stan

Our previous motorhomes had full disconnect rotary switches in the battery bay and it was convenient and easy to shut everything down for storage.

We have considered just removing the ground cable and even have a wingnut in place to make is quick and easy, but we also eventually installed a 240 volt 50 amp circuit at the house so we leave it plugged in all the time.

I purchased a Marinco marine battery disconnect that I mounted on the side of my battery box. Simple and easy to install, rotate the switch and its off. I use a battery tender to keep the battery topped off, I don't like to run the converter for six months over winter, rather keep the hours off it, cheaper and easier to replace a battery tender.
