Let me be sure I'm understanding. You leave your rig plugged into shore power in long term storage, and leave your battery disconnect in the "on" position, then plug that tender into a 110v socket inside the RV, and plug the adapter into the lighter/12v socket on the dash?

That's right. This has worked for me for several years now. No more dead coach batteries even after a couple of months of sitting.

My 2010 truck start battery is giving me problems as well... It goes down to around 12.2VDC just about everytime I get in it after sitting for a few days... Too many electronic things running all the time I guess... I can almost judge how fast the truck seat moves when I put the key in the ignition if it is going to start or not...

I did recently start using a trickle charge from a small Solar panel in the windshield area which is keeping it up enough to start my truck most of the time... Probably will get another season out of it before replacing it...

I have my genset kept in the covered tailgate corner of the truck all the time so it doesn't take but a few minutes to get a quick charge with my 10AMP smart mode battery charger plugged into the generator when needed... Get strange looks sometimes with my generator running in the truck bed and an electric cord running up front with a portable battery charger plugged into it... works for me and I so far have never been stranded yet... I'm usually the one that starts someone else. last week a a stranded motorcycle guy in a WALMART parking lot... They are expecting a large jumper cable but raise a few eyebrows when I pull out my small portable charger and start up my generator in the back of the truck hehe...

This works pretty good but with the newer trucks some of the 12 Volt sockets goes off after a few minutes when you pull out your ignition key. Be sure the one you want to use is always 'ON'...

I only have two Always Hot 12V sockets in my 2010 Ford truck... One on the floor in the center console for the back seat area use and another one inside the center console large storage area. The 12V socket on the dash console goes OFF after a few minutes when the Ignition Key has been pulled.

Recently I have been plugging in a small 10WATT Solar Panel laying the windshield dash area and ran into this problem for me.
