Battery Light

Since I have replaced my starter battery, I have to use the aux starter to start up the engine. Also see an engine light on the console. I have a 2017 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 Jayco Melbourne 25L camper.

Any ideas what is going on?

Thanks. Kathleen

Perhaps check the battery disconnect to the right of the gas pedal. It may have gotten a bad connection while messing with the battery cables. Just a thought.

Have you taken it to a auto store. Many will read an engine code for free or you can get a reader for under $30.

Double check your cables are on correctly. Also, are they tight and clean. Even a small amount of corrosion will prevent full power getting through.

Well, took the cover off and drove it about 60 miles over the weekend. The light is no longer on. It had been sitting idle all winter. Maybe that took care of it.
