Battery or converter issue?

I own a 2003 Greyhawk 24SS. First, the refrigerator started to moan, later there was a clicking noise under the refrigerator where the converter is located and the lights were flickering. So I checked all the fuses. The one for the refrigerator was sparking so I removed it which fixed the flickering lights. The next day my lights, fan, water pump, propane furnice no longer work. But my outlets, microwave, A/C and water heater work.

With this description can someone give me a an idea on what is causing this problem?

Thank you!

Not an expert

I can handle simple electrical issues, I am challenged when it comes to complex problems. Based on the age of your unit it might be wise to have the system looked at by an electrician. It sounds like an inverter or fuse box.

Your outlets, microwave, A/C and water heater (if running it on electric) are all on the 110 volt side. The lights, fan, water pump, and WH all are on the 12 volt side of the camper. It sounds like you might want to check all the fuses to insure they're not blown.

Thanks

I will check the converter fuses. Then I'll call an expert.

Thank you.

Not sure if this is the same issue but I will throw this out there. Last year my lights started to chatter and i chased it down to the furnance. Water had gotten on the circuit board and the unit started to cycle really quickly. I dryed it with a hair dryer and the unit has been fine since then. In my unit the furnace is below the refrigerator and that is where I heard the clicking.

Thank you. I'll look into that. I just discovered that my water heater is also clicking. It's one of those times when it seems all is falling apart!

I would also start at the battery and check all the ground connections and cables. A cooroded ground connection can make multiple 12 volt accessories act up.

Also, slide under the rig and look for bunched up ground wires connected together on the frame. Many people have reported that these joined connections have rusted away, causing a bad ground.

Here's an example (pics below), on my rig, I have a couple of these negative wire connections under the rig, attached to the frame for different 12 volt items. Your rig is older, check for these to see if they aren't rusted.
