Battery power

Crazy question but can anyone tell me which battery the Aux generator gets its power, the chassis or the cabin battery. I guess I could unhook the battery but rather not. 2005 26SS Greyhawk V-10
The reason for the question and I'm assuming it's the cabin battery, if you ran the furnace very much the cabin battery would be dead and therefore the generator would not start either. Then I suppose you could start the engine and in short order start the generator Make sense?

Thanks

That is the way my Seneca is connected (generator to coach batteries), cannot say if all Jaycos are wired that way.

Would be easier to disconnect the V10 cranking battery and try the generator. Easy to get to anyways.

Almost certain its your coach or house battery the source of generator start. I have the Redhawk and that is the way it is wired. Actually would not be very wise or practical to connect to chassis battery. Had a previous 5th wheel and it was the coach battery.

In your Greyhawk, the geny is cranking off of the coach battery. If its dead (not good for the battery) a little running of the Ford Engine should charge your coach battery enough to get the geny started to finish the job.
