Battery replacement help

I am going to replace the house battery with a better quality one. What is a good one to go with in a 2018 Greyhawk? Not to familiar with what size or brand to go with. Can not go to expensive because the DW will not let me because of all the upgrades I have done so far.😊

Just make sure it’s a true deep cycle, not an RV/marine.

Keep it charged, protect it in the winter and don’t let it go to low, it will last longer than a boat battery.

Group 27 AGM with the highest amp hour capacity you can find. This is not something to go cheap on.

It's about how much you want to spend. What's your budget?

I got a group 31 that's the same dimensions at the 27 and it's a 105Ahr.
It's a Duracell AGM and I got it at Sam's Club. It's starting its 6th season this year and I've had 0 issues with it. I've even completely killed it once for sure, possible twice and it's still going strong.
I paid like $180 for it but I just looked them up and they are on sale right now for $160.

AND ITS MADE IN THE USA.

Don't forget to measure both the box and space. If you go bigger you may need either a bigger box (if you have one) or have a space problem.

A good battery maintainer for the off season and avoiding over discharging the battery really adds lifetime to any size battery.

I'm not familiar with the battery location in your rig. Is it in a separate compartment or in the stairs, where mine is. Is there space for two batteries? My rig has space for two Group 24s.

I just put two new batteries in mine and went with the Walmart Everlast DC24s. They're cheap enough that I can replace them every year, if I want. Plus, we don't usually boondock, so I don't need large capacity.

But, there's two pieces to this puzzle. One is the quality of the batteries themselves, the other piece, which is the BIGGEST piece, is how you take care of them. If you regularly run them all the way down, and kill them, it doesn't matter what the quality is, all batteries get hurt in this manner.

So, keeping the batteries charged, and watching the voltages, is the most important point to get long life out of them.
