The OEM sensors are inherently inaccurate, most of the time. Their long term accuracy depends on what you allow in the tank, and how often you clean them out. Out TT is eight years old this year, and the gray level's just starting to be stubborn. It shows 1/3 full when empty, for a very, very long time. The black tank gets wand flushed every trip, and works fine. This spring, the gray tank's getting a Tank Blaster treatment.

Although I never have had a big problem with the stock cheap tank sensors in 30 years, I never really liked the accuracy of them. And then one day I saw on this forum something that changed my RVing life forever.

Someone had installed the SeeLevel tank monitoring system. I looked into it and installed it shortly there after. I couldn't be happier.

I installed one monitor inside and one in the water fill bay. The gauges are very accurate and the sensors mount on the outside of the tank where they are not affected by crud on the sensor tips. I even added the propane level monitor.

Worth every penny and makes monitoring levels much more accurate. When filling my tank I can watch the level come up so I know when to get ready to shut off the hose. 90% of my camping is boondocking so I am constantly topping off my tank. I also feel better while dry camping knowing how full my holding tanks actually are.

I researched a lot of places before buying including Amazon. I ended up buying from RVUpgrades.com. Prices were good and they had everything I wanted all in one place. They had GREAT customer service when it came time for me to exchange a couple of sensors I had purchased. I had my son measure my tank depths and it turned out one of the tanks he measured was my fuel tank. I needed to exchange 2 of my sensors for shorter versions which the company did for no charge and shipped very quickly. I highly recommend this site.

If you don't mind laying under your rig for an extended period of time, installation is not that big of a deal. You need to find a location on your tank to stick the sensor that is not up against metal. Clean the spot with alcohol (not what you are drinking while doing this mod) and then stick the sensor in place. You have one shot at sticking to get it right. I had a problem with my fresh water tank due to access to the area I wanted to put the sensor but eventually stuck it in place.

I mounted a junction box where I routed all cables to. I bought a roll of 4 conductor cable from Amazon and used it for everything. I ran a cable from each sensor to my junction box where I had a terminal strip inside where I connected the wires. I didn't want to just connect all wires together in a bundle although I guess it could be done that way. I recommend soldering every connection because you don't want some intermittent connection to bug you down the road.

I have attached the manual from the product to answer your install questions.
