Black tank heater pad

We had the opportunity to travel this past long weekend and made a trip to San Antonio for the long weekend.
At the park in SA, I noticed the black tank heater pad laying on the ground.
The black tank was replaced earlier this year by the dealer for a leaf spring bolt rubbing on the tank.

What is the best way to reattach the pad to the tank?
I removed the pad by undoing the wire nuts so the pad would not flop around on the trip home and be lost.

I am thinking some double sided sticky tape and some really strong tape for the edges to keep the wind from getting under the pad.

Thanks

Do you see yourself ever using it? If not, maybe just leave it off?

I don't ever see myself using those tank heaters. Without some pretty extensive other modifications, those pads wouldn't do much good anyway. Under my rig, there's all kinds of exposed water piping. Those would freeze LONG before any of my tanks would.

If you do end up reattaching them, others have used Eternabond tape with some success. I would get a roll of the 2" and go around the perimeter of the pad with it.

And if you do reinstall, and you intend to camp below freezing where you might need the tank heaters, you may want to consider making some improvements to the exposed water lines while you're down there.
