99.9% of RV's use the type of sensor in the picture below. Probably the same percentage of RVers have encountered the dreaded gray/black tank sensors no longer working. The problem is that these metal sensors tend to get coated with all that crap that gets down into the tanks. Food particles.... for the gray tank and, well I do not have to explain the black tank.
There are a lot of YouTube videos that claim to fix the problem, but in real life it only lasts a short time. There is an alternative if you have the money and access to your tanks. They have sensors that stick to the exterior of the tanks. These are the ones that get installed on the higher priced RV's.
Mine stopped working within the first 6 months of owning the TT. After awhile you almost know when to pull the plug.
