Black tank valve handle

Hello. I have a 2013 jayco melbourne F28 RV. The black tank is full and the valve handle broke off. Any ideas how to manually open the black tank to drain it? Thank you

Sorry to hear about your issue. Can you put vice-grips or pliers on the stem and pull it out?
Happy RVing,
Jeff

Looking at a 2013 picture I found online, I agree with 'havn' - vise grips on the rod and pull.

I has to replace the valve on ours, and thankfully was able to dump and sanitize the black tank before I started disassembly. I can't image what a mess it would have been had I not been able to drain.

Thanks to all. We were lucky to find the valve kit part and my husband replaced it successfully. With just a little spill upon him.....lol.
