Black water tank flush

2015 jayco redhawk 26XD.
I attach the hose to the black tank flush then attached the other end to the water faucet and turned it on. Nothing is happening inside the tank.... what do i do to make this work?

That's really about it - unless they mislabeled the tanks on the side of your coach and you're trying to fill the F/W tank but didn't set the dials in the water command center.

What should the settings be on the control panel?

What should the settings be on the control panel? We leave ours on 2&6 for city water, but that should not have any effect on the flush.... should it?

Should have 0 affect on the black tank flush. I was just musing that perhaps Jayco mislabeled your water inlets. That would result in nothing happening if the command center was set to 2/6. However since you already know about the command center I assume you had water in the coach up to this point. So my idea probably has no merit in your situation.

The blank tank flush is just a line that ends in a spinner end inside your black tank. You should definitely hear it swooshing around in there.

Do you have any type of screen or filter where your hose attaches to the black tank flush inlet? Could it be clogged? Have you had any freezing weather that the line to the spinner in the tank may be frozen? How about disconnecting the hose to make sure there is water moving through the hose from the faucet? Only some random thoughts...

My black water flush tank has a one-way valve that is under my bathroom sink. The water inlet for the black water tank sprayer is right on the outside wall by the sink. It is possible that you may have one of these valves and it has gone bad or is reversed. Not sure if you have one but I would take a look and see if you can locate one. I found mine only because it started leaking, well dripping when I turned the water on.

What do you all use for the flush hose? Bring an extra or use the hose at dump station?

I normally attach my separate black tank flush hose to the campground provided dump station hose (non-potable hose), especially the dump station hoses routed through those gnarly overhead spring loaded cradles.

I keep my dedicated black tank flush hose (different color) separated from my fresh water hoses.

Thanks! Any recommendations from your experience regarding length of hose? My flush connection is in back next to ladder so 6ish feet from left side. So 10 ft probably?

I have the same TT (24RBS) as you have and my black tank hose is at least 10ft lg (1/2" diameter), 15ft long maximum. Used the same hose with my retired Eagle TT as well.

I know--this is why I keep hitting you up--I was hoping to find someone with the same trailer, and you've done some great things with yours!! I sprung for the 10 footer. If it turns out to be too short, worst that happens is don't use the flush but do the best I can...

The 10ft is an ideal length and will make the flushing process at the dump station a whole lot easier, especially when dealing with those overhead spring loaded hose cradles.
