Do you need to change any of the water valve settings to flush out the black water tank ? And do you need to close the dump valve for 1-2 mins. While flushing ? Tell me how you flush your tank .

There should be a BT flush fitting in the control center, you would just hook up a separate/different hose to it, close the BT valve, turn on the water for the BT flush hose and let it run for a couple to 5 minutes (depending on the size/capacity of BT), then turn off water supply to BT, open BT valve and drain, then repeat as needed.

You should use a hose DEDICATED for the BT flush function to avoid any possibility of cross contamination in the water supply lines.

Once every few months I fill the BT full with water from the flush/rinse water valve on the outside, then let it drain and repeat about 4-5 times to get it good and clean. Otherwise I just do it 2x. If you smell anything give it a few rinses. Always leave a fee gallons of water in there to keep damp and.slosh around while you're driving to keep the sides of the tank clean.

If I'm going from one camp site to.another, I won't flush the black unless its full as well.
