Blowng out the lines/winterizing

We have a 2019 jayco class c 22j and this is our first winterizing. ThE filter canister is in a very difficult place to remove and it has never had a filter in it. Will blowing out the lines with 25psi also remove the water in the canister or can i just pump in rv antifreeze to displace the water in the canister? Antifreeze is cheap.

Air will not blow the water out since the filter medium is what directs the water to the outlet side and it will not empty. You will have a broken canister come spring. The same applies to the anti freeze. You will never get it all out and will be tasting it forever. Only way is to remove and empty it come spring.

Thanks, what about just pumping in antifreeze into the empty canister which will fill up and then the antifreeze should get forced out to the faucets???

Depending on where you live and how cold it can get I would not want diluted antifreeze in there, which is what you will have if you don't get all the water out first.

If you never use the filter remove it or make a bypass. Have many RV's through the shop who never use a filter, because many are in a awkward place. With the early cold spell here in Canada many busted by frost, so they have to be replaced or removed. An outside filter works for many the best.
