I bought neodymium magnets off amazon and tried to fashion my own holder-uppers. I didn't come up with a good way to keep them attached.

You can buy door-latches at CW or Amazon. But you'll probably be drilling holes in the sidewalls.

I wonder if you could flip the doors so the hinge is at the bottom of the compartment opening instead of at the top? Mine is that way with a cable attached to hold the door in a 90 degree position when open like the tailgate on a pickup truck. If you reverse the hinge location, it would probably just open downward in a 180 degree.

I used these stainless steel latches held on with 3M Heavy Duty Mounting Tape. Been on for 4 years and still holding strong. No drilling, easy install. I just removed the rubber strip on the bottom of the latches and put a strip of the tape on there. https://www.recpro.com/rv-baggage-do...ainless-steel/

Jk magnets. They have a variety of styles and strengths. I have used them a couple of times. Most likely will not have the magnetic latch as a direct replacement, but does have magnets with holes that you can screw on, would be a lot stronger than the factory magnets. Worth giving a look. Prices are good.
