Bolt on Ground. Need help to identify.

This bolt was found on ground under the rear slide of my 31FS. Can't see where it came from or if it even belongs to the MH. Any help identifying is much appreciated.

It appears to me to be a "roller bolt". Somewhere you have a nut and roller bearing without its bolt, could still be in the slide or on the ground. This is what it looks like when the bearing and nut are on the bolt. ~CA

The other possibility is if you are in a campsite, it could have fallen out from the previous RV. I suggest to carefully inspect your slide and the other roller bolts, they are hard to see in many cases but are part of the slide mechanism and can be a challenge to tighten or replace.

To add, this is what a roller and bolt looks like, not necessarily the exact roller you have and need to re-install but in concept the same.

Looks like part of one of the slide rollers. I had one of my slide rollers come unscrewed and fall off also but it included the bearing. I've read about this slide roller problem from other folks on this forum. They apparently don't use Loctite on the bolts so they eventually back out.

Thank you all. It is parked at home, so no chance that it is from a different rig. Where is this located and can it be accessed? I looked all over under the slide and can't see where it came from. Also, the slide seems to operate just fine. Thanks again.

My 2018 31fs had one fall out it looked exactly like the one you found. I had to get a bright flashlight and look at my slides when they were all the way in. Mine came off the front couch slide. To look at the rear slide you will have to remove the front carpet cover on the bunk bed slide ,hope you have small hands when you reinstall the roller or find a child to help you…..my e- mail =a125b@bellsouth.net.

What a royal bitch.
I eventually fixed mine by cutting an access hole through the (slide out) floor under the kitchen sink.

No, No, No, No! All wrong answers here! I'm glad I spotted this thread to tell exactly what that bolt is for.
That is the bolt that holds the doohickey to the whatchamacallit so the thingamajig doesn't fall apart. Always use standard German torque specifications "Geudentighcht" to prevent future issues.

Thanks for sharing. When I first saw your note, I thought what a needle in the haystack question. But a very good one. Scenario: Our first RV, all green at it, and the RV was checked over by camping world for all maintenance and we subscribed to the insurance so we wouldn't have a large repair bill early in our RV career. First voyage. We got there put the slide out! Woops it wouldn' go out. woops what do we do. RV repair, found that one little fastener had failed and the whole slide out mechanism wouldn't work. So about 1200-1500 dollars later, we also tried to file on the insurance. Guess what. The small print states it doesn't cover anything that has to do with a fastener failure. There was just one little fastener gone. But the RV repair place gave not just an excellent repair but added in materials to create a stronger slide out support. We were glad it wasn't out when it failed as we could drive to the RV place for repair. So it is good to always be curious. We spray the slide rails with lubricant frequently.
