Bumper carrier for Melbourne

Since the Melbourne has a rear slide, oops-----no ladder. I'd like to be able to carry my aluminum extension ladder and 3 camp chairs on a tray, hooked to the rear bumper. Problem is, the bumper is so close to the body work that I don't think I can get a clamp-on type receiver around the 4" bumper and still get the rear bolts through. I've thought about getting a receiver, welding a couple angle clips to the sides and bolting straight thru the 4" tube bumper.
The bumper is too small to fit my Rhino-flex sewer hoses so it will never be use as a hose carrier.
Any thoughts?

Would like to hear what you came up with...we would like more storage via the bumper as well.
